Since dvi is digital, and it would seem that it is one standard for all displays, this makes no sense to me. I called apple tech support, and after about 10 minutes of checking he told me the only way was to go to the dell site and download a driver. The system pref in apple offers up lots of res choices, but not 1920x1080. In windows, I would set display res to 1920x1080, and then disconnect dell and connect overhead projector. This is fine, but I would like to switch it to an overhead 1920x1080 projector. Connected to a dell 24in display(2405fpw) via dvi, it automatically reads it and sets itself to 1920x1200. Got a new Mac mini, love it(2gig Hz core 2 duo, Leopard, this is a great machine). This is probably a simple question, but I'm new to the mac world and I'm stumped, as is, I think, apple tech support,
